Priest Lake Cannabis Company

Born from a love of Priest Lake.

Priest Lake Cannabis Company is building a responsible, community-minded cannabis brand for the future. Here is why, and what we mean by it.

We started with a name and a place, and a conviction that if Idaho ever permits regulated cannabis, the first company in Priest Lake to do it should be from Priest Lake.

The place

Everyone who loves this lake has a version of the same story: a grandparent's cabin, a summer job at a resort, a first drive up Highway 57 in a car that barely made it. The lake gets into people. It is cold and clear and hemmed in by mountains, and it rewards the kind of person who would rather fix a dock than buy a new one. We are those people, and the brand is an attempt to build a business that could only have come from here.

The idea

Idaho is one of the last states with no cannabis program of any kind. That may change, or it may not. We are not here to predict it, and nothing on this site should be read as a promise that it will. What we believe is simpler: if it does change, the businesses that get it right will be the ones that prepared honestly, in public, over years, rather than the ones that show up the week the licenses are issued.

So we are preparing. That means writing an accurate, sourced record of Idaho cannabis policy that anyone can use. It means plain-language education about what regulated cannabis products are and how other states handle them. It means a guide to Priest Lake that is genuinely useful to visitors and residents. And it means a brand identity built from evergreens, deep water and weathered wood rather than from a neon leaf.

What we are not

We are not a dispensary. We hold no license, because Idaho issues none. We have no store, no menu, no products and no address. We do not sell hemp-derived THC, and we do not help anyone obtain cannabis. We are a brand in development, and we will only operate if and when permitted by Idaho law, subject to every licensing and regulatory requirement that comes with it.

The kind of company we intend to be

Curated over comprehensive. Knowledgeable over pushy. A store that looks like it belongs on the road to the lake, staffed by people who live here, accountable to the community it serves. Adults only, tested products, honest labels, and a share of every good year put back into the trails, beaches and volunteer departments that make Priest Lake work.

Rooted in North Idaho. Built for what's next.

A brand in development. Not currently operating as a cannabis retailer. Future operations subject to changes in Idaho law and required licensing.

Commitments we can be held to.

  1. 01

We will not sell what Idaho does not allow.

No products, no pre-orders, no gray-market hemp THC. If it is not clearly legal in Idaho, it is not ours.

  2. 02

We will tell the truth about the law.

Our legal pages are dated, sourced to official documents, and updated when the law changes, not when a headline does.

  3. 03

We will be useful before we are open.

A good Priest Lake guide, plain-language cannabis education and a careful policy record are worth building whether or not a store ever follows.

  4. 04

We will be a neighbor first.

Local hiring, local suppliers where possible, and the humility to listen to the people of Coolin, Nordman and Priest River before deciding anything.

Questions people ask.

Idaho legal status
What is Priest Lake Cannabis Company?

Priest Lake Cannabis Company (PLCC) is a North Idaho brand in development, inspired by Priest Lake. It is building its identity, knowledge base and community now so that it can seek licensing if and when Idaho permits regulated cannabis retail.

Is Priest Lake Cannabis Company open?

No. Priest Lake Cannabis Company is not open and does not sell cannabis or any cannabis products. It holds no license and has no store. It will only operate if Idaho law changes and licensing is granted.

Where would Priest Lake Cannabis Company be located?

No location has been established. If Idaho ever permits licensed retail, PLCC intends to be based in the Priest Lake area of Bonner County, subject to state law, local zoning and licensing. No address exists today.

Will Priest Lake Cannabis Company sell recreational cannabis?

Only if Idaho law permits it and PLCC is licensed to do so. Today PLCC sells nothing. Any future products would depend entirely on what Idaho law allows at that time.
